Gloryoftherisingsun wants to hear a tale of old…

Amaterasu blinked, looking at the stag like he was crazy. But eventually a smile spread on her face and she nodded. “Let’s do it! What could go wrong?” Gods, Issun rubbed off on her. Ah well. “Should I transform into my wolf form and follow him, acting like a dog?”

Cernunnos gave a nod. "We should look as inconspicuous as possible. However I am certain a giant buck is a tad outlandish to some…" His massive shoulders lifted slightly in a shrugging motion.

The boy sat atop the stag, twisting his fingers in the silken fur which smelled of moss and sage. “This ought to be great! Everyone will freak!” He blinked suddenly, realizing he did not know what he was supposed to be doing and all of this felt very one-sided. “Uh… What is the plan anyhow?”

"Uh… That’s a good question. I guess we can just wing it. Always worked for me before. We just walk into town and improvise, I guess. Isn’t that what we do anyway?" Amaterasu stepped back as the cherry blossom petals swept through again, covering her transformation back into her wolf form.

"Nope." Amaterasu grinned as she started to walk with the boy. "But you know what they say: leap before you think. What could go wrong anyway?"

The stag trotted beside them, humming a foreign tune to himself.

The boy lead them to his village, bringing them into the underbrush so they may hide for a moment or so to discuss a plan of action. “There… There is no plan?” He asked, glancing from the village to the two divine beings.

Cernunnos lowered his head and hoisted the boy onto him like he weighed nothing. "I move that we send the boy in there as though everything is normal, then we use our powers wherever he is to make the villagers assume he is blessed. Once we have everyone’s attention we pop out of hiding and scream, ‘SURPRISE~ We know this boy’."

"No, just time travel." The goddess said that rather nonchalantly. She smiled down at the boy, happy to have made him happy. "Now then, where’s your village? How big is it?"

"Just below the mountains a little a ways from here." The youth said, looking from the Goddess to the divine stag and back again. "Do you have a plan or something?"

Cernunnos shifted his head to look over at Amaterasu and parroted, "Yes, do we have a plan… Or something?"

"Nope." Amaterasu grinned as she started to walk with the boy. "But you know what they say: leap before you think. What could go wrong anyway?"
